Tata Motors has showcased its three new trucks at the Hyderabad expo and the move is sidelining the focus on passenger cars. The trucks are in Prima Construct global platform which are largely in use in mining and civil construction fields. The display at the Construction and Machinery Materials Expo 2010 is an ideal avenue for the company’s venture. Already Tata Motors is enjoying 70% share in the truck segment and the new models will be rolled down in Q2 of 2011. There will be export of these trucks to South Africa where the company has a good potential for its vehicles. Tata will design and deliver these trucks from its plant at Jamshedpur.
